Project: Orsta and McNiven Marine were awarded the tender for the provision of a visitor mooring pontoon and access bridge for Spike Island, also known as the Alcatraz of Ireland. During the season, many tourists take a ferry from nearby Cobh (known to be the last stop of the Titanic) to visit the island. Both the ferry and yachts are using the pontoon to disembark.

The single pontoon unit was produced in Cobh, all services, including a lift for disabled persons, were pre-installed on the production site. The pontoon was launched, the access bridge loaded onto the pontoon and everything was towed to the final destination. Installation and anchoring were not included in the project.

Scope: 1 no. pontoon of l 20.00 x w 6.00 x h 1.65 meter including pedestals, handrails, lift and D-fenders
