Dunbeg, UK
Client: Dunstaffnage Marina
Date: 2012
Project: Design and construct a floating breakwater for Dunstaffnage Marina. The pontoons were to be launched with the marina’s 40T Wise hoist which required the pontoons to be built at a height of 1.2 meters above ground. Extra reinforcement steel was required to allow for the narrow placement of slings of the hoist. The finished pontoons were driven down the ramp adjacent to the production area and stored for installation in the marina.
Our crew were allowed to stay in the hotel on site and thus were able to closely work together with all parties involved.
Scope: 7 pontoons of l 23.00 x
w 4.00 x h 0,95 meter,
weight 36,000 kgs each
